Perennial herbs, flower of spadix, protected by armor-like spathe. Dieffenbachia are generally grown in covered greenhouse at light level ranging from 16000 to 32000lux. If the light level are too high, the leaves tends to be very erect around the main stem, with petioles nearly straight up and the leaves may be bleached with marginal burn. If the light level are too low, the vareigated marking may disappear, instead by pale green. Please do remember to wash your hands after touching the Dumb Cane's juice. Overwatering may result in disease increased when plant stay wet for long time, so the medium needs to be dry out fairly well before irrigating. When pot medium are too dry, the leaves at bottom will be yellowish. A combination of liquid and slow released fertilizer is good choice, but excess fertilizer will induce marginal burning.

Compared with Tropic Marianne, this plant have narrower and sword- like leaves, similar to Camille, with similar variegated color to Tropic Marianne，but with creamy white midrib. The plant type is more compact with good division ability.
